Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone.     Not much peppermint smell, mostly soapy smell. Does calm me down if I take a shower in the evening, so the peppermint essential oil does do its job. I struggled to figure out how to not buy a soap bar holder, ended up putting the soap bar in a washandje (little pocket made out of towel material that you wash yourself with) and just squeezing the water out and hanging it to dry with the soap bar after I'm done. Honestly very nice, gets my skin squeaky clean, I prefer this texture of my skin over the shower gel texture.
