Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

Where the Money is Going

One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone.     Buy This Soap (Please)

    Look, I’ve used a lot of soap in my life- everything from hand-poured artisanal goat milk soap to those Dove bars your mom always seems to buy. Never before have I felt compelled to beg other people to get the soap I use.

    Not only does this soap smell like I’m walking through a pleasantly dry mountain forest, it’s left my skin feeling so soft and moisturized that I’ve come here, hat in hand, to beg you to buy this soap. I’m down on my perfectly-exfoliated knees, pleading with you to try it for yourself, so you too can experience this joy.

    It’s a sensory wonderland (the strong scent and 3/5 level of exfoliation might be a bit much for folks who are hyper sensitive to stimuli, but I love it.) The lather is luxurious, the scent is incredible, the results are perfect, AND 100% of the profits go to charity.

    Feels great, smells earthy but barely there

    I love the exfoliant! It's very nice. The smell is a lot lighter than I expected, which for me is a downside. I know soaps trend a fine line between fragrance and irritant, though, so I think this would be great for people who like less strong smelling soaps.
